PETERS ELPECAST® potting compound provides IP65 protection.

We are pleased that our highly transparent casting compound PETERS ELPECAST® Wepuran VT 3402 KK-NV-LT was used to create the art project called "5 Säulen für Marburg" (= 5 pillars for Marburg).

By casting LED strips in the color-changing pillars - placed in front of the Kultur- und Bildungszentrum of the new Marburg mosque - our compound achieved protection code IP 65 (TI 15/21), so that all 40 illuminated pillars can be safely operated outdoors.

The pillars consist of 4 m high, transparent, specially manufactured and unbreakable polycarbonate tubes with a maximum diameter of 87 mm, which are homogeneously illuminated.
