Screen-printing emulsions
Emulsion is a photosensitive substance used to create the image on the printing mesh, which is then used to print on various materials.
There are several types of emulsions, used with different ink systems such as water-based, PVC, and combined (dual-cure) emulsions.
Capillary films are used for more demanding printing applications. The coating thickness ranges from 10 to 50 microns. The film is transferred onto the mesh using water, after which the screen is exposed.
Since the film sits on top of the mesh, it provides higher print resolution compared to liquid emulsion.
